CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas!! Here are pictures from our first Christmas "on our own". Gabe had a blast, and we had just as much fun watching him open and enjoy all his presents!

Michael has arrived!!!!

This is silly Gabe is our friend's dog cage...he thought it was pretty fun!
This was the night before the induction...Nick stayed with me all night!!
Gabe's first look at Michael....

Michael was born on November 21, 2005 at 2:03 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 0.3 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long! He has beautiful blonde hair and looks exactly like Nick as a baby! I was induced on Monday morning, the 21st, around eight or so and had him by 2:00! Gabriel LOVES his new little brother! He kisses and pats him and always wants to be around him! He is going to be such a good big brother and helper for me! We are all doing fine...just a little tired :) and are so thankful for God's amazing blessing of another healthy and beautiful baby!

our handsome little man!

Look at Gabriel...is he not the most handsome little thing? He's gonna be a "babe magnet" when he grows up....he he!
Every thing is going well in the Cappellano family. Except for the lovely cold we've been so generously passing around! Michael is doing great inside my tummy, only about a month left to go now. We are getting so very excited! I've just about got "the boy's room" all set up. Gabe is doing really well sleeping in his new 'big boy' bed (a toddler bed). He'll crawl up there and lay down when we say its bedtime or naptime, and he's beginning to fall asleep there on his own now!
~God Bless you and have a wonderful day!!!~

The LION!!!!!

This is Gabe's halloween costume! It is so funny to see him in it! Sadie goes crazy, though. He can "roar" really good, too! We've already put him in in twice just to see how cute he is...and get a good laugh!!!
Gabe is sleeping in a "big boy" bed now! He just started sleeping in it at night about a week ago. He's doing really good. I have to stay in there with him until he falls asleep, but he stays in it all night! I can't believe my little baby is already out of a crib...he's growing up TOO fast!

More Illinois!

Gabe playing peek-a-boo with Kathy (Nick's mom) in Illinois. And Below, a couple pictures of Gabe in our hotel room. No, we don't ALWAYS let him eat naked! Isn't that picture of Nick and Gabe too darn cute??? It just displays a side of Nick we don't see that much...he's such a good daddy and Gabe loves playing with him!

Illinois

Here are some pictures of us in Illinois. Gabe got chocolate cake every night at Kathy's (Nick's mom) house...he loved it! Do you see the little boy in pink underpants in the pool picture? Yep...that's Gabe! We didn't bring any swim gear for him so Chrissy loaned us some of her daughter's! He was so pretty in pink!!!
Here's Gabe in his hawaiian outfit...and running around in our hotel! He had a great time seeing all his relatives on Nick's side for the first time! He LOVED playing with Kathy's cats...I think I have some pictures of that being developed.
Gabe is just chattering away these days...in his own little language. He says "bye-bye" to Daddy every day when he goes to work and he gives "hugs" now...which is just too precious to describe!
Have a wonderful day ~God Bless~

Isn't he cute? Nick was quite a chubby little baby.... I like the one where he's in all his military stuff!

"Luna"

This is our little lost kitten we found on the side of the road by Lake Luna on base (that's why we named her Luna) We kept her overnight and fed her with this tiny little bottle. She was the most precious little thing. She slept all balled up in two towels in a box. She would even purr after she ate! We took her to Pet Smart today and gave her to an Animal rescue/adoption organization. It was heartbreaking for us both. We just fell in love with this little kitten. She was only 5-6 days old...her little eyes weren't even open yet. But she had the sweetest little meow! We would have loved to keep her, but with Gabe, a little one on the way, a big ol' golden retriever, we thought it might be too hard. But, some family is going to be very lucky to have Luna...she's a sweetheart!

My parents left for Iceland last Thursday. They have called us a couple times and are doing well. It's been quite an emotional weekend for me with all this going on. Deke is up at college in Michigan and doing good as well. Our little Gabriel is an energizer bunny lately! He wants to explore, touch, and figure out everything around him. He just gets more fun every day. He can say 'bye-bye' and almost "cat" it comes out just 'ca'. His favorite word right now is Daaa-dy! He just adores his daddy! Nick wrestles with him all the time and I caught him trying to wrestle with some other babies in the nursery today!! Nick thinks he wasn't wrestling he just wanted to "lay on them" I guess he was born a natural "wrestler" like his father! Little Michael seems to be just as active as Gabe! He kicks all the time...And big! I jumped in church today because he kicked me so hard! I can't wait until he gets here...I am getting so excited!

Gabe around the house!

We got a new piano from my Mom and Dad and here's Gabe sitting in the music basket....just chillin'

We also got a new pet (until January) this is Sadie...my Mom and Dad's golden retriever. She's a sweetie and Gabe loves her! He crawls all over here and sits with her all the time.

Gabriel likes to help me clean, as you can see here he's dusting the carpet!!

cute pictures

Here's Michael at almost 26 weeks...quite a little kicker I might add!

Top Row is Gabe playing with Jakob in the nursery and him smiling with his Dad's work hat on! Next row he's got Daddy's boots on! The last two are Gabe and Jakob playing again, this time in the church office. This was right before Gabe spilled coke on the carpet and then Jakob poured water on the floor from the water cooler....toddlers :)

Hey Everyone! Gabe has become quite a handful lately!! It is fun, but quite tiring! Has anyone got advice on how to handle temper tantrums at this age?!?! But I have to say he is just as smart as he is active! He knows and does the signs for "more" and "all done", he can understand simple statements and words ("hand mommy the ball", "give that to daddy", "splash"!) and knows exactly where his baby einstein tapes are and how to put them in the VCR!
